Wiltz, Luxembourg – 7 May 2026 – At Interpack 2026 (Hall 10 / D67), UNITED CAPS will present its new 26 FLIP-ON closure, developed to solve everyday handling challenges in oil packaging applications.

Addressing practical limitations in everyday use
In many edible oil markets, packaging solutions are primarily driven by cost, often at the expense of usability. As a result, consumers and operators frequently experience issues such as difficult opening, poor grip and unwanted contact with the product during use.
The 26 FLIP-ON has been developed to directly address these everyday challenges, offering a closure that improves handling without adding complexity or cost.

Improving handling while maintaining efficiency
The closure integrates seamlessly into existing filling lines, following a plug’n play approach that avoids the need for significant line modifications and supports smooth operation in high-volume production environments. Its flip-top design enables easier opening and better handling during pouring, reducing the risk of product contact and improving everyday use.

With a weight limited to 1.0 g, the 26 FLIP-ON is light in weight and contributes to material savings. This approach also supports ongoing efforts to reduce material use and lower the overall carbon footprint, aligning with emerging PPWR requirements, and can contribute to EPR fee reductions of up to 18% depending on market conditions.

Supporting regulatory requirements and cleaner use
The closure features an attached tamper-evident system, supporting current and upcoming regulatory requirements. At the same time, its design helps avoid direct contact between the user’s fingers and the bottle neck, contributing to a cleaner and more consistent opening and pouring experience.
