UNITED CAPS Appoints First Chief Technology Officer to Strengthen Technical Leadership and Operational Excellence

UNITED CAPS welcomes Daniel Bruzzese as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), a newly created role that reflects the company’s ambition to further strengthen its technical expertise and operational excellence to support future growth.

An engineer by training, Daniel brings more than 25 years of international experience in injection moulding, product development, industrialisation and the management of complex projects. Having held several technical and leadership positions across different organisations and countries, most recently as R&D Centre Director at Novares in China, he has developed strong expertise in plastic injection technologies for complex products.

His appointment marks an important step in UNITED CAPS’ continued organisational development as the company expands internationally and responds to increasing market complexity, higher customer expectations and the accelerating need for innovation and industrial performance.

As member of the Executive Committee, Daniel will oversee the Group’s Technology organisation, bringing together R&D, industrialisation, mould expertise, automation & engineering, and New Product Development project management activities under a strengthened technological leadership structure.

“As UNITED CAPS continues to evolve and strengthen its long-term growth ambitions, it is essential that we reinforce the way we combine operational excellence, technical expertise and innovation across the company,” said CEO Benoit Henckes. “Daniel’s international experience and strong technical background will help us continue improving our industrial capabilities, accelerating execution and developing high-value solutions for our customers.”

Meeting the APAC Packaging Industry Again at ProPak Asia 2026

For UNITED CAPS, exhibitions are not only about showcasing products, they are about staying connected to the people and markets we work with every day, because BETTER solutions start with BETTER understanding. This June, we will once again be part of ProPak Asia 2026, taking place from 10–13 June at IMPACT, Bangkok.

Across APAC, packaging expectations continue to shift quickly. Producers are balancing efficiency, product performance, consumer convenience, and changing market demands all at once. Events like ProPak Asia create the space for real conversations around these challenges, and that is exactly why we value being there in person.

Supported by our manufacturing site at UNITED CAPS KULIM in Malaysia, our team continues to work closely with customers throughout the region to provide reliable supply and consistent closure solutions. Being present in Bangkok gives us the opportunity to BETTER understand what matters most locally, while strengthening relationships with both existing and new partners, to build BETTER solutions together.

At the booth, visitors will discover a selection of closure solutions for beverages, carton packaging, specialised nutrition, edible oils, condiments, and other applications. From solutions designed to support production line performance to closures developed with user convenience in mind, the focus remains on practical packaging requirements that continue to evolve across different industries.

Most importantly, we look forward to the conversations behind the products. Every discussion, challenge, and shared experience gives us BETTER visibility of packaging needs across the region and how UNITED CAPS can continue supporting our customers.

If you are attending ProPak Asia 2026, visit the UNITED CAPS team at Hall C3, Booth AU32 (French Pavilion). We look forward to seeing you in Bangkok and continuing to IMAGINE BETTER.

UNITED CAPS to Exhibit at Interpack 2026

UNITED CAPS will be exhibiting at Interpack 2026, held from 7 to 13 May 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany. For us, this is an important opportunity to meet customers and partners, share what we are working on, and take part in the conversations shaping the future of packaging.

This year, our presence at Interpack will be built around the theme IMAGINE BETTER. It reflects our belief that customers increasingly need more from a closures partner than products alone. They also need practical innovation, useful dialogue and the ability to develop solutions in a more collaborative way.

During the exhibition, visitors to the UNITED CAPS booth will be able to discover new closure solutions across beverages, agrochemical, edible oils and carton packaging. We will also introduce the BETTER LAB, where visitors can book time with our design teams to explore ideas in a more hands-on way. With a 3D printer on site, the BETTER LAB will provide an opportunity to make discussions more tangible and begin shaping solutions together.

Alongside this, UNITED CAPS will host its BETTER TALKS, a series of masterclasses focused on new products and key topics influencing the future of packaging. We will also be showing how we are creating 10 Billion BETTER CARBON FOOTPRINTS this year, reflecting our focus not only on product performance, but also on reducing environmental impact.

More than presenting new solutions, we see Interpack as a chance to listen, exchange ideas and work more closely with customers on the challenges ahead. If you are planning to visit Interpack 2026, we would be glad to welcome you to our booth. Appointments in the BETTER LAB are expected to fill up quickly, so we encourage visitors to book in advance here: https://wkf.ms/3Og7EbN

Making Every Cap Matter - Sustainability Week Webinars Announced!

Sustainability Week this year takes place on 4, 5 and 6 November at 2 PM CET, and features three live webinars that explore how sustainability is embedded across UNITED CAPS and how the company is helping customers prepare for the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) coming into force in August 2026.

“EU packaging regulation is entering a new era,” said Benoît Henckes, CEO of UNITED CAPS. “These stricter rules emphasise design for recyclability, support responsible material selection, and aim to minimise unnecessary packaging while strengthening Extended Producer Responsibility. It’s a decisive moment for our industry.

At UNITED CAPS, sustainability has long been part of our DNA. We’re working hand in hand with customers to encourage lifecycle thinking, support compliance readiness, and provide reliable access to recycled polymers. Sustainability Week forms part of our broader effort to help every customer navigate the new regulations with clarity and confidence.”
