Position Purpose
To ensure the reliability, availability, and proper maintenance of production machinery, robots, equipment, and facility systems. The position is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, spare-parts management, facility maintenance, and continuous improvement activities to minimize equipment downtime and support smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities
A. Production Equipment & Machinery Maintenance

1. Develop, implement, and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs for production machines, robots, and equipment.
2. Execute and monitor preventive maintenance activities according to the established schedule.
3. Troubleshoot machinery, robots, and equipment breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance.
4. Investigate recurring equipment problems and implement actions to prevent recurrence.
5. Monitor equipment condition and identify potential failures before they result in production downtime.
6. Ensure machines and robots are maintained in proper working condition and kept clean.
7. Ensure proper lubrication and greasing activities are carried out according to the required schedule.
8. Support production in minimizing machine downtime and improving equipment reliability.

B. Facility & Utility Maintenance

1. Monitor and maintain facility and utility systems supporting production operations.
2. Ensure regular inspection of:
3. Cooling towers
   • Chillers
   • Air compressors / compressed air systems
   • WCPU systems
   • ACSU systems
   • Blender systems
   • Other facility equipment
4. Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure the workplace and supporting facilities remain in a safe and suitable condition.
5. Coordinate maintenance and servicing activities with external contractors and service providers where required.

C. Spare Parts & Maintenance Materials

1. Take ownership of maintenance spare-parts control.
2. Monitor spare-parts stock levels and identify replenishment requirements.
3. Follow up on purchase orders and delivery of required maintenance spare parts.
4. Maintain proper records of spare-parts usage and requirements.
5. Identify opportunities to optimize spare-parts usage and reduce maintenance costs.

D. Reporting & Documentation

1. Prepare daily/weekly maintenance activity reports.
2. Complete equipment service reports and ensure proper filing and documentation.
3. Maintain accurate records of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
4. Monitor outstanding maintenance issues and ensure appropriate follow-up.
5. Provide maintenance-related information and updates to management when required.

E. Improvement & Cost Saving

1. Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
2. Participate in equipment improvement and modification projects.
3. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities related to machinery, equipment, utilities, and spare parts.
4. Support continuous improvement activities to reduce breakdown frequency and production downtime.

F. Cross-Functional Coordination

1. Work closely with Production and other departments to resolve equipment-related issues.
2. Coordinate maintenance activities with technicians and external service providers.
3. Provide technical support and guidance during equipment troubleshooting and improvement activities.
4. Support equipment installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement activities when required.

Requirements
Education

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Candidates with strong relevant hands-on maintenance experience may also be considered.

Experience

• Preferably 2–3 years of relevant experience in maintenance, engineering, facilities, or manufacturing.
• Experience in a plastic injection moulding/manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
• Experience in troubleshooting production machinery, automation equipment, robots, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, or hydraulic systems is preferred.

Technical Competencies

• Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting capability.
• Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of facility and utility systems such as chillers, cooling towers, and air compressors is preferred.
• Familiarity with injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment is an advantage.
• Able to understand basic electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance documentation.
