UNITED CAPS to Deliver Key Speech at the Plastic Closure Innovations Conference 2019 in Barcelona.

UNITED CAPS are set to deliver a speech entitled “Meeting Today’s Needs Without Compromising the Future” at the Plastic Closure Innovations Conference in Barcelona on 3-5 June at 10:10.  Themes explored will encompass how lessons from UNITED CAPS proud 80 year history can help shape breakthrough closure innovation today and into the future.

Additionally, examples from the UNITED CAPS portfolio of innovative closures across sectors as diverse as Edible Oils to Baby Foods will be showcased to the audience consisting of leading members of the packaging industry.



UNITED CAPS is once again showcasing its breakthrough innovation portfolio at the 2019 DAIRY INNOVATION SUMMIT held at the Steigenberger Airport Hotel in Amsterdam on 3-4 April.

2019 represents the second time UNITED CAPS will showcase at the popular Amsterdam Summit following a successful debut in 2018 and the company looks forward to once again presenting its expertise in the development of differentiating total packaging solutions.



On Friday November, 30th 2018, UNITED CAPS celebrated the production of the 10 billionth closure. UNITED CAPS group CEO Benoit Henckes and Duna plant’s director Szabolcs Szili led the celebrations at our DUNA plant in Hungary as colleagues and media gathered for the big reveal.

SEP 2018 - UNITED CAPS Announcement - Nicolaus Schröder

UNITED CAPS are delighted to announce that Nicolaus Schröder will be joining our Beverage Segment Development Team as a Consultant and Advisor from September 2018.

Nico is a highly experienced, premium calibre talent acquisition joining from Coca-Cola where he has held multiple roles over 24 years.

He is excited to begin making contact with you regarding closure projects on our behalf and a customer outreach program representing UNITED CAPS in his new post will commence from September 2018.

Naturally Nico will fully adhere to the confidentiality agreements in place between your organisation and UNITED CAPS.

The acquisition of Nico, represents a significant strengthening of the UNITED CAPS beverage development team and underscores how the UNITED CAPS brand along with the Relate, Perform, Sustain platform is attracting the industry's best talent to help develop industry leading closures and drive significant mutually beneficial growth.

“Ambitious investments by UNITED CAPS continue to bear fruit” was a message stressed by CEO Benoit Henckes at the successful inauguration of new R&D facilities at our Messia facility.

In two separate speeches before both the assembled media and teams from UNITED CAPS, Benoit pointed to a rich pipeline of recent and forthcoming innovations as evidence that the vision set out by him at the renaming from PROCAP to UNITED CAPS was delivering a significant platform for growth.

Some of the events highlighted included the #goldenmoment development with Nestle for the Nescafe Gold brand and included a tour of the production and R&D facilities that helped enable a total packaging solution for the world-famous brand.

Emphasizing how the development pillars of RELATE, PERFORM and SUSTAIN are driving product creation, the tour and speech showcasing recent breakthrough innovation like GREENER closures that don’t just look good but do good too and SMARTER anti-counterfeiting closures that make it easier to quickly identify a genuine product.

Rounding off the day was a reminder of how recent key acquisitions like Embalatap and Closures4U were driving growth along with the fact that we’ve broken ground on the development of our production facility in Malaysia. Rounding things off in style was the announcement of even more investment - this time in a new £20m production facility in Sheffield, England.


UNITED CAPS Launches SMARTER Anti-Counterfeiting Closures at ProPak Asia

The 26th International Processing and Packaging Technology Event known as ProPak Asia held on the 13th to 16th June in Bangkok, Thailand proved an excellent vehicle for UNITED CAPS to showcase an exciting range of product innovations to an International audience from the Food, Drink & Pharmaceutical Processing & Packaging industries.

Key industry topics of sustainability, innovation and security were addressed within our booth that highlighted the power of UNITED CAPS innovation engine. New to the audience in Asia were GREENER closures made from Bioplastics, along with a world first outing for the UNITED CAPS range of SMARTER closures. They feature new packaging and security technologies that make it easy to quickly identify a genuine product.

A true star of the entire event was our #goldenmoment - the very special total packaging solution we created with Nestle. Our closure, a plastic closure with a premium brushed metal appearance has enabled an ambitious market repositioning for their Nescafe Gold brand thanks to its ability to work harmoniously with the jar to create outstanding appeal on the shelf.



UNITED CAPS are delighted to announce that we are exhibiting at ProPak Asia - the largest industry event of its kind in Asia. This year’s event held in Bangkok, Thailand on 13 -16 June, promises to be the biggest yet as buyers, brands and suppliers from all over the global packaging industry converge at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre. The UNITED CAPS portfolio will be exhibited along with a host of exciting breakthrough innovations including the groundbreaking new Nescafe Gold collaboration.



UNITED CAPS expertise is in demand globally. At the 6th Dairy China Summit held at Crowne Plaza in Beijing on the 24th & 25th May we’ll be exhibiting and taking part in two panel discussions. Our APAC Business Director Sebastien Hottlet be on hand to draw upon our 79 years experience and unique capability to RELATE to markets by providing insight on "Key Packaging Trends in the Dairy Industry” along with a further panel discussion on "Packaging Innovations for Dairy Products”.

At the Plastic Closure Innovations Conference held at Hotel Palace in Berlin over 23rd and 24th May, UNITED CAPS will be joined on stage by Nestle to help tell that story of needle-moving innovation to an assembled high level audience of leading brand owners, plastic closure producers and packaging system providers, as well as materials and technology suppliers.
