PROCAP LOOKS FORWARD TO INTERPACK 2014

A broad array of highly-developed caps and closure systems for food and non-food applications will be unveiled.

Wiltz, April 22, 2014 – PROCAP, a major European player in the plastic caps and closure systems industry, will showcase its latest advanced solutions for many industries in the food and non-food sectors at Interpack 2014. Visitors to Hall 10, stand D67 will also be able to explore PROCAP’s established products and see bespoke designs that add real value to many global brands.

PROCAP’s presence at the event underscores the company’s focus on specific markets and applications for which it devises ideal closure systems. The firm actively fosters collaboration and the cross fertilisation of ideas between experts serving different markets to create optimal designs. It also invests heavily in research and development to ensure it will continue to meet industry and end-user needs in the future.

Among the new solutions being introduced at the event are:

  • 38 PROLINE: A closure designed specifically to assure reliable and efficient capping of non-carbonated beverages that helps to significantly increase productivity, saving time and cost.

  • 63 PROCURVE: A UN-compliant closure for agro chemical containers that is extremely easy for end users to open and reseal, and offers a full chemical barrier with no IHS liner.

  • 63 PROSLIT: A safe solution that features a new ‘flex’ TE band to create a full chemical barrier using a standard foam liner, resulting in a fully UN-compliant product for agro chemical packaging.

  • 29/21 GREEN1P: A reliable mono-piece closure for edible oils, vinegars and sauces that is also lightweight and very competitively priced.

29/21 GREEN1P is just one example of the emphasis PROCAP places on protecting the environment. Based on its many decades of experience, it redesigns existing caps and closures to be lighter, using fewer raw materials and needing less energy to produce and transport. These unique solutions also help customers save energy during application.

All PROCAP solutions are devised using a dedicated development process that allows the company to conceive, test and manufacture new concepts in the most efficient way. PROCAP’s focus on continual innovation and the design and development of the most advantageous shapes and more performant operational processes have enabled it to take its place at the forefront of its industry. The acquisition of Schoeller Cap Systems in Germany in 2013 helped grow the company within the nation and, as a gateway to Scandinavia and Poland, allowed the firm to extend its reach and broaden its footprint. PROCAP has seven production plants and sales representation in 14 countries across Europe. It also serves customers in other regions of the world.

Interpack 2014 will take place in Dusseldorf, Germany, between 8 and 14 May. It is the leading trade fair for processes and packaging and expects to welcome over 2700 exhibitors from more than 60 countries. The event is held every three years.
